Based on four personas, the Philips Element has been designed to attract a younger audience to the dry shaving experience. The razor comes together with a docking station and app. Through the app, users can get inspiration on facial hairstyles, tips for grooming, and feedback from the razor; for example, the pressure of the razor on the skin, to optimize the shaving experience. By connecting the phone to the docking station, the user can also play music.
The Element is modular, enabling Philips to sell both basic and premium versions with or without the docking station element.
